Remarks :
1] Among the selected well developed countries only Canada, Norway, Finland, US and Sweden were having No. of persons less than those of the world figures of 19.5 and 46.4 for 1950 and 2000. All other countries were having figures in excess of the world figures for both 1950 and 2000.
2] All the selected rainforest nations except Indonesia were having less number of persons per square kilometer in both 1950 and 2000 with one exception - Costa Rica's number for the year 2000 (73.2) was more than the world figure of 46.4.
